The grounds of Highfield Park impressed me immediately. Beautifully maintained and serene, perfect for a relaxing escape. I enjoyed a comfortable bed. the room had a wonderful view of the countryside. Friendly staff greeted me at check-in and clarified all my questions. I had a delightful dinner in the bar area. the food exceeded my expectations. the breakfast service could improve. There were delays in getting coffee and the buffet items were slow to replenish. The shower in my room had mixer issues. I had to settle for lukewarm water. Not ideal when you're expecting a refreshing start to the day, but I made do. The hotel exuded charm, but some decor felt slightly dated. I encountered some noisy guests in the bar area that disturbed my quiet time. I appreciated the serene location despite these hiccups. I'd recommend it for a relaxing getaway, but hope for quicker breakfast service next time.
